The NC Department of Cultural Resources has sponsored National History Day in North Carolina for the past 12 years.

Furthermore, History Day is coordinated by the Office of Archives and History within the NC Department of Cultural Resources, which is our state agency dedicated to the promotion and protection of North Carolina's arts, history and culture, and is observing this year's theme "Treasure N.C. Culture" in 2009. Once again congratulations winners of the North Carolina History Day competition, and good luck in Maryland!
