During the 2008 Grand Ole Party (GOP) primary election for North Carolina governor, five
gentlemen offered their services to the Republican voters of North Carolina. Each candidate
offered there own thoughts and strategies for advancing North Carolina if elected governor
in 2008. Although the Republican nominee, Pat McCrory lost the 2008 general election, much
of the published press release on both the primary and general election provides readers
not only a conservative viewpoint, but also a glimpse of what is taking place within our
general assembly and the day-to-day processes of North Carolina politics.
Therefore, County NC News has chronologically organized below our published news
