In the RBC Centura Bank robbery, the perpetrator entered the bank and walked directly to one of the bank tellers, to whom he tossed a bank robbery demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, the robber fled the area in a small, older model vehicle. The perpetrator was observed entering the front passenger side of the vehicle. However, the driver of the vehicle was not sufficiently observed for descriptive purposes. The bank robber was described as a black male, approximately 5'10" to 11" in height, a medium build, and about 29 early 30s old. Subsequent law enforcement investigation determined that the SUV had been reported stolen in Charlotte, on or about August 26, 2007. The three suspects who entered the bank were described as being black males, two of whom were about 5'9" to 10" in height and one of whom was about 5'3" to 4" in height. All three males obscured their appearances with white head coverings. No shots were fired during the robbery. However, following the robbery, one of the bank customers was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for examination for a possible stress-induced condition.
