September 19, 2007

IREDELL COUNTY NC NEWS -- National travel nursing agency, Continental Nurses headquartered in Moorsville, North Carolina, has recently been awarded the prestigious Gold Seal of Approval for healthcare staffing services from The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission's certification program offers an independent comprehensive evaluation of a staffing firm's abilities to provide competent staffing services. The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits nearly 15,000 healthcare organizations and programs throughout the United States. A not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation's predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.

With today's growing shortage in availability of nurses and other health care professionals, more and more healthcare providers are turning to contractual arrangements with staffing firms to fill vacant positions. Continental Nurses, provides just this type of supplemental staffing to healthcare professionals and hospitals throughout the United States.

In early 2006, Continental Nurses relocated its corporate headquarters to North Carolina from Pennsylvania. Within a short time after relocation, Continental Nurses has established an excellent reputation for providing high quality nursing services in many diverse geographic areas in North Carolina. Furthermore, including its corporate headquarters in North Carolina, Continental Nurses also has several other branch operations located in the United States. Other primary operations are located in New York and California operating as New York Travel Nurses and California Travel Nurses.

Speaking on behalf of Continental Nurses, Caroline Parker who also played an integral part in Continental Nurses' preparation for the Joint Commission accredited healthcare organization certification said: "Continental Nurses' recent focus of providing a web-based system (Web SSP) to capture and report on the employment attributes of all the nurses provides our clients with a real time look at the credentials and impending expirations of the nurse's complete personnel file of over 40 line items. Continental Nurses' Web SSP is a unique industry concept that has received high praise from not only our customers, but now from JCAHO. Certification from JCAHO, coupled with increased focus on our Web SSP, will be key in having Continental Nurses meet our aggressive marketing goals for growth in 2008 and beyond."

In addition to providing healthcare staffing, Continental Nurses is now providing vendor management services as part of a comprehensive solution to its healthcare clients.
