The FBI is asking for the public's assistance in finding this criminalSeptember 27, 2007 MECKLENBURG COUNTY NC NEWS -- Well that does it, now, Charlotte has its very own Buckteeth Bandit! The FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating the Buckteeth Bandit responsible for the recent bank robbery of the First Citizens Bank located at 3130 Milton Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. On September 25, 2007, at approximately 10:54 a.m., a lone male with grotesque buckteeth entered the bank and presented a bank teller with a bank robbery demand note. The Buckteeth Bandit, who was then given an undisclosed amount of money, including a dye pack, subsequently fled the bank, possibly on foot and chewing his bottom lip. No weapon was observed or displayed during the bank robbery, and there were no injuries as a result of the bank robbery.
The Buckteeth Bandit was described as a black male, approximately 5'8" in height, weighing approximately 140 pounds, 33 to 35 years of age, and having a goatee and crooked front teeth that appeared "crowded" into his mouth. At the time of the robbery, the perpetrator was wearing a white baseball cap with a dark visor, sunglasses, an oversized short-sleeved bright red tee shirt, and blue-jean pants. Since the Buckteeth Bandit was given a dye pack, he and his clothing as well as the bank money may be covered in a red dye. Investigators from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and the FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force responded to the bank robbery and are still investigating. Anyone with information regarding this case or the whereabouts of the Buckteeth Bandit is requested to contact the FBI at (704) 377-9200. Published by: # # # |
