UPDATE: David Lamar Caldwell BUSTED!

Fugitive David Lamar Caldwell, was apprehended without incident at a residence on Camp Greene Street, Charlotte

MECKLENBURG COUNTY NC NEWS -- At approximately 10:30 p.m. on September 15, 2007, the fugitive below, David Lamar Caldwell, was apprehended without incident at a residence on Camp Greene Street in Charlotte, North Carolina, by Deputies and Task Force Officers from the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office and the FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force.

Caldwell is currently incarcerated at the Mecklenburg County Jail on secured bonds of $15,000.00, $7500.00, and $30,000.00, for the following felony charges pending against him in Mecklenburg County.

• possession of a firearm by a felon
• possession of a weapon of mass destruction
• possession with intent to sale and distribute marijuana

Caldwell was the subject of four orders for arrest, the fourth being child abuse in Forsyth County.

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force in Charlotte asked for the public assistance in locating David Lamar Caldwell, age 29, who was wanted on a local felony charge. An arrest warrant was issued on June 25, 2007, in Mecklenburg County for Caldwell in connection with a charge of possession of a weapon of mass destruction - a sawed-off shotgun.

Caldwell, is known to use the aliases Dazz and Dazmond Larenzo. Caldwell's last known address as of November 2006 was 1024 McQuay Street, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Caldwell, is a black male who is approximately 5'10" in height and weights approximately 180 pounds. Caldwell has as a black mole in the center of his forehead just above his eyes. Furthermore, Caldwell is easily identifiable with several visibly distinctive tattoos.

• The name "DAZZ" tattooed on his right wrist
• Three tear drops tattooed on his face just below the corner of his right eye
• Tattoos on the tops of his left and right hands, one is a crown on the top of his right hand.

The Charlotte FBI Safe Streets Task Force released the following photos to aid in the identification of David Lamar Caldwell. The shaved head photo is a retouched photograph of Caldwell.

Caldwell is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
