On August 4, 2007, Baker Company of the 3rd Battalion, 509th Airborne home based in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, conducted an air assault into Jasim Muhammed, Iraq. Jasim Muhammed is a small town in Iraq located on the Euphrates river. The mission's purpose was to search, capture, or destroy any Al-qaeda insurgents, HBTs, weapon caches, and IEDs.
