The first case involves a robbery that took place on October 24, 2006, at the SunTrust Bank in Wingate, located in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. This lone bank robber is believed to have also robbed the SunTrust Bank on May 11, 2007, at 276 Concord Parkway South in Concord, located in Union County, North Carolina. In this robbery, the thief entered the bank, brandished a weapon, and demanded money. The robber was described as a black male, approximately 5' 7" and 180 pounds, with a goatee, and wearing a black sweatshirt top and a rimmed hat (Pictured Right). The FBI Charlotte Agents believe this suspect may have left the Charlotte area between the two robberies. Therefore, this Bank robber is believed to be commuting to commit his crimes. The second case that the FBI Charlotte is asking your help in solving, involves a black male suspected of robbing the Clearview Federal Credit Union at 2830 Boyer Street on October 25, 2007, and the State Employees Credit Union at 10820 South Tryon Street on December 31, 2007. All of these banks are located in the City of Charlotte area of Mecklenburg County. This robber is described as 5'6" to 5'7" in height, heavy build, and in his 20's.
In the Clearview Federal Credit Union robbery, which occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m., a lone black male entered the bank and presented one of the bank tellers with a bank robbery demand note. Although the demand note indicated that the robber was armed, no weapon was seen or brandished during the robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the perpetrator fled the scene of the robbery by entering the front passenger seat of a getaway vehicle in the bank parking. The getaway vehicle is described as a large black sport-utility vehicle (SUV) with a distinctive white strip along its side. Since the bank robber entered the passenger side of the vehicle, it is believed there was at last one other individual involved with the robbery.
The third serial bank robber wanted by the FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force appears to be "the new guy on the block." This armed gunman is a white male who robbed the First Charter Bank at 6342 Carmel Road on January 18, 2008. The bandit is described to have robbed the bank waving a pistol at two tellers demanding cash. This same robber is also suspected by FBI Charlotte, of robbing both the RBC Centura at 3920 Colony Road on January 15, 2008, and the SunTrust Bank on Sharon and Fairview Roads on January 17, 2008. This most wanted bank robber is described as age twenty to twenty-five, 5'11" to 6' tall, with a thin build. So far, this criminal is also known to have committed all of his robberies in the City of Charlotte area of Mecklenburg County. Anyone with information concerning these bank robberies, the whereabouts, or identity of these wanted bank robbers, should call the FBI Charlotte Office at 704-377-9200.
